You’re now listed in SIS as an overstayer and future entries may be denied at the discretion of the border guard. Because you have been denied entry once, I believe you should now get a Schengen visa and not rely on the waiver, for the next 10 years.

We were told we couldn’t return for 90 days because we had used all of our visa on arrival time for that 180 day period. That was two years ago. Not expecting a problem when we go to France next year.
